Mineral Mirabelle with Brioche Pear.
The Riesling from the green slate shimmers with a brilliant yellow. Its fine green reflections are already making our mouths water.
The Riesling smells of white peach, mirabelle plums, ripe pear and hazelnuts. Delicate hints of fresh thyme make the bouquet not only fruity, but also fresh and exciting.
On the palate, the mineral note outshines the primary fruit of the nose – the minerality is reminiscent of rhubarb, brioche, and cream cheese pastries. The Riesling is very well structured with well-integrated acidity and a ripe and supple finish. A magnificent Riesling from the Nahe that is a real joy to drink.
This Riesling was aged in stainless steel and large wooden barrels. The grapes come from two vineyards: Felseneck in Wallhausen and Dalberger Ritterhölle. The grapes all grew on green slate.
