The Salm Weiss 2024
The Salm Weiss
Pinot Blanc
Scheurebe
The Salm Weiss
Floral gooseberry with invigorating apple.
The glass reveals a clear, pale yellow with greenish reflections, signalling freshness rather than maturity. The viscosity is moderate; nothing seems heavy or broad. A white wine that visually immediately suggests drive, precision, and clean work in the cellar.
Its bouquet is intense, distinctive and deep. Floral notes give the main fruity character a noble touch. Gooseberries and ripe green apple dominate the stimulating experience.
The white Salm is very fresh on the palate. With a fine acidity, this wine has a characteristic structure that is not overloaded. The acidity is balanced by a subtle residual sweetness. On the palate, the stimulating fruit aromas of mango and honeydew melon are particularly pronounced. A light perlage sings songs of everlasting summer.
This cuvée of classic Palatinate grape varieties comes from cool sites and is deliberately vinified with restraint, mostly in stainless steel. Spontaneous fermentation and a long period on the lees provide substance without masking the fresh character. This exact balance makes the wine unique and versatile.
