    The bouquet unfolds with notes of black cherries, blackberries and a hint of chocolate, harmoniously interwoven with fine spice nuances.

    The mouthfeel is velvety and full-bodied, while the palate is enchanted by ripe berries, delicate spices and an elegant tannin structure.

    This Syrah was carefully aged for 18 months in French barriques to achieve a perfect balance between fruitiness, spice and structure.

    At the end of his school days in the Swabian town of Waiblingen, Kai Schubert already knew two things for sure: "Pinot Noir is my passion" and "I want to be a winemaker". No sooner said than done. After completing his viticulture studies in Geisenheim, the career changer began a worldwide search for the right place for a winery with the best conditions for Pinot Noir - and he chose New Zealand. In 1998, Kai emigrated to New Zealand with his partner Marion, who also became a winemaker. In Martinborough, in the very south of New Zealand's North Island, the two began planting vines on 14 hectares and realizing their dream of owning their own winery. In 2003, the first wines from Schubert Wines finally came onto the market. The success story begins...
