Arneis Barivel 2024
Arneis Barivel
Arneis Barivel
Stone fruit meets fine minerality.
The Cascina Galarin Barivel Langhe Arneis shimmers in a bright straw yellow with greenish reflections. The clear, brilliant color and medium viscosity suggest freshness and elegance, while the delicate texture is already visible in the glass.
The bouquet is complex with notes of apricot, ripe peach, and pear. Citrus fruits like lemon and lime add freshness, while mineral hints, delicate floral nuances of violets, and a subtle spiciness of savory complement the aromatics.
On the palate, the wine is elegant, soft, and harmonious with balanced acidity. Stone fruit and citrus notes are accompanied by a fine mineral hint and subtle creaminess. The long finish leaves a touch of almond and herbs.
Arneis thrives in the calcareous and clayey soils of the Langhe, producing fresh, complex wines. Cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks preserves the fruit aromas and highlights the delicate acidity, while a short period of lees aging adds depth to the wine.
Serving the Terroir since 1781 – Wine with Heart, Rooster, and Hand
Imagine entering a wine cellar whose foundation was laid over 200 years ago. Above the heavy wooden door, a carved rooster proudly displays itself – the heraldic animal of the Carosso family, which gave the winery Cascina Galarin its name. Wine has actually been growing here in Castagnole delle Lanze since 1781, but it wasn't until Giuseppe Carosso joined the business in the late 1980s that a new era began: He bottled under his own name for the first time and radically shifted the philosophy to quality and terroir. Today, Giuseppe and his sons Marco and Giovanni work hand in hand. On only about seven hectares of vineyards, distinctive organic wines are produced here. The oldest Barbera vines are almost 90 years old – a living heritage that the Carossos cultivate with dedication. Their passion is dedicated to the classic varieties of Piedmont: Barbera, Nebbiolo, Arneis, Moscato... Even their own Barolo from Monforte d'Alba is now part of their portfolio. Whether it's a fruity-sparkling Moscato d'Asti, a mineral-clear Arneis, a profound Barbera, or an elegant Barolo – the wines of Cascina Galarin bring the diversity of Piedmont into the glass, honest and unadulterated. It's no wonder that this small family winery is considered a real insider tip among connoisseurs. Discover Cascina Galarín at the foot of the Alps – or as the Romans say: "Ad pedem montium" – in Piedmont.
