The Château de la Terrière has towered over the Beaujolais region since the 16th century and was once built to protect the French queen. It is a center for Grégory Barbet's classic terroir wines. Grégory's father bought the castle and the land 20 years ago and devoted himself to Gamay, the region's main grape variety. This variety perfectly showcases the mineral soils, especially the granite. Grégory focuses on quality, terroir and sustainability. While Beaujolais wines are appreciated in Germany, they are particularly sought after in Paris.
