The Iviti Iugero Cabernet Franc shines in an intense ruby red with violet reflections. The dense, clear color indicates a rich and complex wine that promises both elegance and depth.
Aromas of blackberries, cassis and sour cherries unfold on the nose, accompanied by fine notes of violet. Spicy pepper nuances and a hint of smoke and graphite give the wine depth and elegance, while still retaining a distinctive freshness.
On the palate, the wine is powerful and balanced with silky tannins. The fruit aromas are complemented by herbal and mineral nuances. It is characterized by a long, intense finish with a perfect balance of freshness, spice and structure.
The aging in small barriques intensifies the aromas and gives the wine a harmonious integration of wood notes. With a production of only 500 bottles, it remains a truly unique piece.
A family winery between love, passion and pain.
Finding an excellent Tuscan wine that stands out from the crowd is not easy. We were therefore very curious when we met Luca Viti and he told us that he only makes one wine: Cabernet Sauvignon (which also contains some Cabernet Franc). And that in the Sangiovese stronghold of Tuscany! After the tasting, we were absolutely convinced that we had discovered a real insider tip. The cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which is reminiscent of a Supertuscan, has a soft elegance paired with full-bodied fruit, which, when so finely balanced, offers a wonderful taste experience. That was exactly what we were looking for. In the 1950s, the Viti family bought the farm where the winery now stands. More and more grapes were grown until further large plots of vineyard were added in 2013. A three-story winery was built, which focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. All of this in a region where more Sangiovese is grown than anywhere else in the world. The winery's logo was designed by an Egyptian artist and represents the tight embrace of the family's two twin sisters, Laura and Lucia. At the same time, this embrace also shows the fusion of the long and hard physical work that four generations have put into this land.
