Mineral depth meets floral elegance.
The wine shimmers in a deep ruby red with violet reflections. The dense, almost impenetrable color indicates the concentration and intensity of this wine. In the glass there is an impressive viscosity, which indicates the high alcohol content and the ripe fruit.
The nose reveals a complex bouquet of dark fruits such as black cherry and blackberry, accompanied by balsamic notes, graphite and a hint of leather. Delicate violet and tobacco accents give the wine a fascinating floral and spicy depth.
On the palate, the wine is powerful and structured, with present but finely polished tannins. The fruit intensity harmonizes perfectly with the mineral and earthy undertones, while a balanced acidity gives the wine an invigorating freshness. The long, elegant finish leaves a lasting impression.
This wine is vinified from hand-picked Cariñena grapes from old vines on slate soils, which gives it a special minerality. The traditional, gentle processing and aging in high-quality oak barrels ensure depth and complexity. This combination makes the wine a true expression of the Priorat terroir.
Two historic costers (steep vineyards) give the winery from the legendary Priorat region its name.
Costerduo is a small but remarkable winery in the Priorat that celebrates the tradition and uniqueness of the region. Founded by Danilo Vladi, a trained winemaker and visionary, the winery focuses on sustainable and artisanal wine production that reflects the utmost care and deep respect for the landscape and its people. Since 2016, Costerduo has been cultivating three historic vineyards on the steep slopes of the Priorat to produce authentic wines in small production. The vines grow on the characteristic slate soils and are partly over 75 years old, which gives the wines a distinctive depth and minerality. The oenological philosophy follows the approach of honoring the terroir and reproducing it authentically. Danilo describes his vision as a "search for the perfect expression of an exceptional terroir" and produces wines that reflect the essence of the Priorat.
