Weinbeschreibung

Crisp elderberry with fruity magnolia.

The Sauvignon Blanc from Friuli flashes at us in a juicy straw yellow.

The nose reveals a spirited fruit with floral nuances of elderberry and ethereal notes of sage. Aromas of crisp green pepper and a hint of magnolia round off the fragrant ensemble.

On the palate: spice. The interplay of the aromas triggers a spicy chain reaction based on the skillful balancing act between acidity and fruitiness. A hint of minerality supports the spice. The wine shows an aromatic length and a round finish.

The wine is harvested at the end of August when fully ripe and then cold macerated in stainless steel tanks for a few days. It is then gently pressed and cool fermented in stainless steel.

De Lorenzi Vini

Proof that ecological action does not have to come at the expense of wine quality.

Since 1973, the De Lorenzi family has been passionately living the wine-growing tradition in Friuli. One thing is particularly important to them: the sustainability of their farming. A lower yield per hectare for better quality, cultivation of the vines without chemicals, clean energy through solar panels and a water purification system for further use in the vineyard: the De Lorenzis, led by family head Carlo, have brilliantly demonstrated that ecological action does not have to come at the expense of wine quality. Friuli and Pinot Grigio simply belong together. It's no wonder that the world's best wines of this variety come from the north-eastern tip of Italy. For us, a typical representative has to be nice and fresh with crisp acidity and wonderful apple and citrus aromas. We found this wonderful wine at the De Lorenzi winery. We liked Carlo and Milena straight away and with their down-to-earth and honest manner you can't help but like them and their wines. Fresh enjoyment is guaranteed here, at an unbeatable price.
