Count Neipperg
Blaufränkisch or Lemberger? The main thing is Neipperg.
The Lemberger grape variety characterizes the Graf Neipperg winery with a tradition that stretches back to the 15th century. The success story of the popular grape variety is closely linked to the VDP top winery.

Success story of the Lemberger-Haus: From the medieval cradle of grape varieties to the VDP top company.
The Graf Neipperg winery in Württemberg is an outstanding winery that has been owned by the Neipperg winegrowing family since the 15th century. The wine-growing tradition on the count's land in the region dates back to the 8th century. With over 30 hectares of vineyards in top locations such as the "Neipperger Schloßberg" and the "Schwaigerner Ruthe", the winery now produces first-class wines, including complex Lemberger, which the Counts of Neipperg brought to the region, Trollinger, juicy and elegant Schwarzrieslings and mineral-dense Rieslings. The winery is a member of the Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates (VDP) and has received numerous awards, including 4 grapes from Gault Millau. The traditional vinification in the vaulted cellar and the special management of steep slopes contribute to the top quality. Under the management of Philipp Erbgraf zu Neipperg and Karl Eugen Graf von Neipperg, the winery stands for proven traditions, coupled with modern winemaking and an impressive overall performance.
Purely genetically, the Blaufränkisch and Lemberger grape varieties are the same. Since there is currently a Blaufränkisch hype going through the German wine world, the winemakers of Württemberg discussed changing the name Lemberger to Blaufränkisch. In the end, they stuck with the original - Württemberg remains Lemberger-Country.
All organic or what?
There are many definitions of what NATURAL means in winemaking. Not all winemakers are certified to treat nature responsibly. So we check for ourselves on site whether a winemaker meets our standards for treating the natural product wine.
✔ Organic, vegan, unfiltered, natural, etc.
✔ Biodiversity instead of monoculture
✔ Natural products produced at the pace of nature
Trust as the most important currency
Over 50 additives can be used in wine production, none of which have to be listed on the label. Mass-produced and cheap wines are flooding the market with artificially produced smells, appearances and tastes. The security of holding an HONEST product in your hand is therefore our top priority.
✔ 100% family wineries
✔ Personal relationship with the winemaker
✔ No influence from ratings, seals or points
Responsibility for the team in the engine room
The work in winemaking is often physically demanding and time-consuming, and not just during harvest time. Cheap workers from low-wage countries are popular. Against this background, high standards in the SOCIAL area are of fundamental importance to us.
✔ Fair wages and humane treatment
✔ Social responsibility
✔ Social commitment
"The wine world agrees: The most legendary and greatest Lembergers come from the VDP winery Graf Neipperg." (Sven, sommelier at Vioneers)
