    Weinbeschreibung

Juicy sour cherry with herbal strawberry.

In the glass, it stands slender and cool, with a translucent ruby red that suggests light pomegranate rather than heavy ink. No show-off, but pure understatement – like a custom-made suit from Burgundy: clearly defined, precise, with a fine, lively core.

Red currant, sour cherry, and wild strawberry lead the opening, followed by an herbal veil of eucalyptus and lavender. In the background, there's a gentle smokiness – a hint of bread crust, black pepper, and subtle cedar spice. Everything comes together like a well-composed playlist.

Silky on the palate, with a fresh, vibrant acidity that keeps everything in motion like a spark plug. The tannins are restrained but not arbitrary – they provide structure, not weight. The finish is long, spicy, and lingers like a thought that won't let go.

Grown on calcareous marl in the Sous la Cabotte parcel, spontaneously fermented, aged in used wood - the vinification is as precise as it is understated. No make-up, no show. Simply Burgundy as it should be: transparent, terroir-driven, vinified with respect.

    Domaine Jean Fery

Burgundy's natural diversity in a glass – cherished worldwide for generations.

The roots of Domaine Jean Féry date back to the 19th century, when the family cultivated not only wine but also currants in the Burgundian village of Échevronne (Side Note: Legend has it that these black currants once formed part of the perfume icon Chanel No. 5). In 1980, Marcelle and Jean Féry founded the winery under their own name, and their son Jean-Louis Féry took over in 1988. With great passion, he expanded the family winery with new vineyards and modern cellar technology. Today, the vineyards cover about 14 hectares – spread across numerous renowned appellations from the Côte de Nuits to the Côte Chalonnaise. The winery has been organic certified since 2011. In the cellar, the team relies on traditional methods, carefully tending to the wines and avoiding unnecessary technology. Jean-Louis' motto is simple: "Quality is priceless." The next generation is already at the helm: his sons Frédéric and Laurent continue to run the Domaine with the same passion. You can taste all of this in every bottle – Burgundy to fall in love with, honest and unadulterated.
