    Weinbeschreibung

Chalky lemon with smooth brioche butter.

In the glass, a golden shimmer, like liquid light just before sunset. Clear and with a dense texture—every drop seems concentrated. The first glance already suggests depth and maturity. Nothing flickering, everything has gravitas. A Burgundy with gravitas.

The nose is initially dominated by rich aromas of vanilla and toasted almond, followed by wet chalk, crushed lemon peel, and a hint of salted butter. Tropical notes of pineapple and delicate yeasty undertones emerge, without ever becoming opulent.

A Chardonnay with staying power – creamy and smooth like salted butter on warm brioche. The acidity draws a fine, precise line through the texture, salty minerality clings like sea air on skin. Subtle fruit melt meets straightforward freshness. Long, deep, controlled.

Premier Cru vineyard Les Bouchères – a prime plot in Meursault, characterized by limestone and clay. Old vines, hand-harvested, aged in French oak, but deliberately restrained. The wood frames, without overpowering anything. A terroir interpreter that doesn't reinvent Chardonnay, but takes it seriously.

    Domaine Jean Fery

Burgundy's natural diversity in a glass – cherished worldwide for generations.

The roots of Domaine Jean Féry date back to the 19th century, when the family cultivated not only wine but also currants in the Burgundian village of Échevronne (Side Note: Legend has it that these black currants once formed part of the perfume icon Chanel No. 5). In 1980, Marcelle and Jean Féry founded the winery under their own name, and their son Jean-Louis Féry took over in 1988. With great passion, he expanded the family winery with new vineyards and modern cellar technology. Today, the vineyards cover about 14 hectares – spread across numerous renowned appellations from the Côte de Nuits to the Côte Chalonnaise. The winery has been organic certified since 2011. In the cellar, the team relies on traditional methods, carefully tending to the wines and avoiding unnecessary technology. Jean-Louis' motto is simple: "Quality is priceless." The next generation is already at the helm: his sons Frédéric and Laurent continue to run the Domaine with the same passion. You can taste all of this in every bottle – Burgundy to fall in love with, honest and unadulterated.
