    Weinbeschreibung

    Cool cherry with dried tobacco.

In the glass, a fine ruby red with a slightly transparent core appears – like a silk fabric shimmering in the backlight. The edges are clear, almost crystalline. Not a color monster, but a visual understatement – elegant, slender, with the typical nobility of a Premier Cru Pinot Noir.

The nose is precise and cool: sour cherry, fresh raspberry, and dried cranberry don't jump out, but rather whisper with style. Added to this are fine tobacco, a hint of vanilla, and an earthy undertone – like freshly turned forest soil after the rain. No olfactory storm, but a quiet dialogue in nuances.

On the palate, it's like a bespoke suit of Burgundy fabric—refined, close-fitting, yet never restrictive. The acidity has grip, the tannins are silky yet palpable. Cherry fruit and spiced wood persist through to the finish—clear, mineral, with a fine texture and lingering tension.

The grapes come from up to 55-year-old vines in the Les Guérets vineyard – biodynamically farmed, selectively hand-picked. The wine is traditionally aged in barriques, with a gentle use of wood that supports rather than dominates the character. Bottled unfiltered. A wine that doesn't conceal its origin, but rather emphasizes it.

    Domaine Jean Fery

Burgundy's natural diversity in a glass – cherished worldwide for generations.

The roots of Domaine Jean Féry date back to the 19th century, when the family cultivated not only wine but also currants in the Burgundian village of Échevronne (Side Note: Legend has it that these black currants once formed part of the perfume icon Chanel No. 5). In 1980, Marcelle and Jean Féry founded the winery under their own name, and their son Jean-Louis Féry took over in 1988. With great passion, he expanded the family winery with new vineyards and modern cellar technology. Today, the vineyards cover about 14 hectares – spread across numerous renowned appellations from the Côte de Nuits to the Côte Chalonnaise. The winery has been organic certified since 2011. In the cellar, the team relies on traditional methods, carefully tending to the wines and avoiding unnecessary technology. Jean-Louis' motto is simple: "Quality is priceless." The next generation is already at the helm: his sons Frédéric and Laurent continue to run the Domaine with the same passion. You can taste all of this in every bottle – Burgundy to fall in love with, honest and unadulterated.
