In 1990, Albrecht Schwegler founded a winery according to his ideas. Today, his son Aaron follows the same approach and vinifies top red and white cuvées from the Remstal.

The winery
Consistent, of course.
The Schwegler family controls the nutrition of the vines exclusively through the introduction of organic material, through species-rich sowing and a lot of manual work. This philosophy is consistently continued in the cellar: mostly made from natural wood, their wines are bottled untreated and unfined after a long barrel aging with minimal sulphur. With the 2019 vintage, they had their sustainable working methods in the vineyard, which they have been practicing for decades, certified.

Aaron describes the diversity he finds in the Remstal vineyards as his "most important asset". Surrounded by forests, orchards and fields, he works in a valuable cultural landscape. Thanks to a wide variety of microclimates, characterful, vibrant soils and a lively selection process, he obtains unique qualities every year, which he vinifies separately for the greater good. He works on every plot, every vine so that the grapes can produce his greatest wine. This is the only way he can choose from the best elements year after year.
