Melty coconut notes with dense mirabelle plum.
In the glass, a clear, medium golden yellow with greenish reflections is visible. The color appears concentrated, but not heavy. Calm, fine streaks suggest ripeness and extract. Visually a Riesling with ambition, precise and focused, without any opulence or breadth.
On the nose we encounter a dense fragrance assemblage. Strong mirabelle plum scent pairs with coconut notes and is surrounded by rose aroma.
The Riesling is also excitingly dense on the palate and impresses with its melting quality, opulent fruit and youthfulness. At the same time, however, it is delicate and well structured. The acidity is taut and exciting. It seems to linger on for an endless time in the finish, like the sound of a large church bell.
The grapes come from the Kirchberg vineyard and were picked in several passes. Spontaneous fermentation, extended lees aging, and maturation in large wooden barrels provide structure without distorting the aromas. Bottled dry as a Grosses Gewächs, the wine represents its origin, maturity, and consistent craftsmanship.
