    Weinbeschreibung

    Ripe peach with toasted hazelnut.

In the glass, the Chardonnay from the calcareous marl soil presents itself with a bright golden color and a slight greenish shimmer – like freshly polished brass in the morning sunlight. Clear, focused, and with viscous "church windows" that suggest: This offers substance, but not a broad-shouldered one – rather one with poise. 2. Sensory-aromatic analysis

The nose combines ripe peach with a delicate chalkiness – like a basket of stone fruit next to a freshly plastered lime wall. Add to this hints of butter, a touch of toasted hazelnut, and a splash of grapefruit – a blend of breakfast on the terrace and quiet cellar coolness. Subtle vanilla underpins the whole with creamy depth.

On the palate, it is precise yet smooth. Like a well-tailored suit – nothing tight, nothing flapping. The fruit (peach, apple) remains ripe but is immediately tempered by the chalky structure, the fine acidity, and a buttery creaminess that tastes more salty than sweet. Fine grip, long finish.

The Chardonnay comes from a chalky terroir, which acts like a natural filter: no noise, just clarity. It is aged partly in stainless steel, partly in wood – but with a light touch, not with a heavy hand. This keeps the minerality taut, the fruit precise, and the style: crystal-clear Pfalz with a touch of Burgundy.
