Domaine Delaporte
A must for Burgundy lovers.
Since the 2010 vintage, Matthieu Delaporte has been responsible for his parents' domaine of the same name and is considered by many to be one of the young stars of the Burgundy wine scene.

Favored by the microclimate.
Matthieu Delaporte's vineyards are located in the village of Chavignol in the AOC-certified Sancerre wine-growing region. The vines here are located on steep slopes in a narrow valley, the barren chalky soil is covered by topsoil just a few tens of centimeters thick. The steep slopes and the narrow valley of Chavignol also promote a special microclimate. The mineral, chalky soil makes the wines slim, while at the same time giving them something particularly noble and ensuring a natural freshness. Thanks to the warm microclimate of Chavignol, this minerality is perfectly balanced here.
Natural, organic farming.
For Matthieu Delporte, natural, organic cultivation of the vineyards is a matter of course, but he also works in the cellar in an absolutely gentle and natural way. The hand-picked grapes are gently pressed whole using the champagne method and then ferment very slowly on the wine's own wild yeasts.
"My goal is to produce healthy grapes in a natural way that have a perfect balance between fruit ripeness and acidity, which ultimately results in perfect harmony in the wines."

The world's best terroir for Sauvignon Blanc.
