Unbridled freshness and fine elegance.

It wasn't that long ago that the team around Romain Magnanou and Alice Euvrard (both originally from Bordeaux) took over the business of the Domaine de la Navicelle in 2019. While Alice is particularly responsible for the brand and sales, winemaker and oenologist Romain gives the wines his unique signature. Romain learned, studied and always practiced viticulture in Bordeaux from an early age.

Yes, organic wine in Provence is possible and in a spectacular way! The friendly Domaine de la Navicelle winery shows how it's done on 21 hectares: without the use of chemicals, they grow smooth biodynamic wines, right on the coast in a picturesque setting. The twenty-one hectares of Navicelle vines are cultivated with real respect for the ecosystem, fauna and flora. The vineyard is inspired by the basic principles of biodynamics. It has been certified in AB (Organic Agriculture) since 2014 and in HVE (High Environmental Value) since 2019.

The location

Mediterranean climate meets biodynamics.

Over 60% of all wines from Provence are rosé wines! The landscape is characterized by the sea, hills and the climate of the Mediterranean coast: sun-kissed and slightly windy. But high humidity is also part of Provence and thus prevents a dry environment for the fragile grapes. The vines are terraced on red clay soils and a rocky subsoil made of limestone, sandstone and slate. Soil cultivation, pruning, trellising, plant protection treatments and harvesting are constantly being questioned and, when in doubt, redefined according to biodynamic principles.
