    Weinbeschreibung

Dark truffle cherry with velvety vanilla.

The Gevrey Chambertin Villages by Taupenot-Merme presents itself in an intense ruby red, streaked with purple nuances, thus already revealing its youthful freshness.

The nose is caressed by lively red fruit notes such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by earthy nuances, subtle violets and a hint of spicy spices.

An elegant structure with soft tannins and a balanced acidity unfolds in the mouth. The flavor palette ranges from ripe red fruits to subtle oak notes and a hint of spices and truffle.

This wine has been aged in carefully selected oak barrels, giving it a subtle vanilla note and a harmonious integration of aromas, underlining its impressive longevity.

    Domaine Taupenot - Merme

Virginie and Romain have revived a sleeping giant.

The siblings Virginie and Romain Taupenot cultivate over 13 hectares with 19 appellations from Auxey-Duressees in the south to Gevrey-Chambertin in the north of the Côte d'Or, producing a range that is as diverse as it is qualitatively homogeneous. Since the beginning of the millennium, organic farming without labels has revived a wine region that was born in 1974 from the union of the two owner families and that has since then awaited the passionate commitment of the current generation of owners to revive the full potential of the highly sought-after plots, in particular Mazoyères-Chambertin and Charmes Chambertin in the Grand Cru.
