The Winelover's Burger
Ingredients:
- 250 g mixed ground meat (beef and pork)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup red wine (of your choice)
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- Brie cheese
- Baby chives
- Fresh lettuce
- Red berry compote
- Burger buns (multigrain, brioche, sourdough)

Instructions:
- Form your mixed ground meat patties and season them with salt and pepper. Fry or grill the patties to your liking.
- In a pan, sauté the thinly sliced onions until lightly browned. Then add the red wine and let the onions simmer in the reduction until soft. Afterward, add the maple syrup and let the mixture thicken.
- Place the patties on the grill or in the pan, top with a slice of Brie cheese, and let it melt.
- Toast the burger buns and set them aside.
- Place the patties with melted Brie on the bottom half of the buns. Generously spread the caramelized onions over them.
- Garnish the burger with fresh baby chives, a lettuce leaf, and a dollop of red berry compote. Place the top half of the bun on top. Serve the burger with a glass of your favorite red wine.
