    Weinbeschreibung

    Floral elegance meets bold structure.

The Cascina Galarin Barolo presents itself in a luminous garnet red with brick-red reflections, a typical sign of aged Nebbiolo. The medium to high transparency indicates finesse, while the slow legs suggest structure and high aging potential.

The nose reveals a complex bouquet of floral notes of violets and roses, accompanied by ripe red fruits such as strawberry and plum. Delicate spice nuances of black pepper and licorice combine with smoky, earthy notes, as well as tobacco and oak.

On the palate, the wine is powerful and tannic with pronounced acidity, lending it elegance and freshness. Red fruit is enveloped by spicy and smoky aromas, while silky tannins provide structure. The long, profound finish reveals a harmonious balance between fruit, spice, and minerality.

This Barolo is made exclusively from Nebbiolo, a demanding grape variety that finds optimal conditions in the calcareous marl soils of Piedmont. After a long maceration, the wine is aged in large oak barrels to refine the tannins and impart its classic elegance.

    Cascina Galarin

Serving the Terroir since 1781 – Wine with Heart, Rooster, and Hand

Imagine entering a wine cellar whose foundation was laid over 200 years ago. Above the heavy wooden door, a carved rooster proudly displays itself – the heraldic animal of the Carosso family, which gave the winery Cascina Galarin its name. Wine has actually been growing here in Castagnole delle Lanze since 1781, but it wasn't until Giuseppe Carosso joined the business in the late 1980s that a new era began: He bottled under his own name for the first time and radically shifted the philosophy to quality and terroir. Today, Giuseppe and his sons Marco and Giovanni work hand in hand. On only about seven hectares of vineyards, distinctive organic wines are produced here. The oldest Barbera vines are almost 90 years old – a living heritage that the Carossos cultivate with dedication. Their passion is dedicated to the classic varieties of Piedmont: Barbera, Nebbiolo, Arneis, Moscato... Even their own Barolo from Monforte d'Alba is now part of their portfolio. Whether it's a fruity-sparkling Moscato d'Asti, a mineral-clear Arneis, a profound Barbera, or an elegant Barolo – the wines of Cascina Galarin bring the diversity of Piedmont into the glass, honest and unadulterated. It's no wonder that this small family winery is considered a real insider tip among connoisseurs. Discover Cascina Galarín at the foot of the Alps – or as the Romans say: "Ad pedem montium" – in Piedmont.
