The Kirchberger Riesling 2019 shines in a light golden yellow and has greenish reflections.
On the nose we encounter a dense fragrance assemblage. Strong mirabelle plum scent pairs with coconut notes and is surrounded by rose aroma.
The Riesling is also excitingly dense on the palate and impresses with its melting quality and opulent fruit. At the same time, however, it is delicate and well structured. The present acidity of this vintage makes the 2019 Riesling very fresh. It seems to linger on the finish like the sound of a large church bell.
This is a really great wine from a great location, the VDP. GROSSEN LAGE Kirchberg. The summer of 2019 was hot, the autumn rather rainy. The secondary aromas in the Riesling are already there, but will become more attractive in the coming years.
