The medium-weight wine from Beaujolais impresses with black fruit: blackberry, blackcurrant and plum. Red fruit aromas such as cherry and cranberry also play an important role alongside the mineral-earthy aromas of graphite and forest floor. The slightly herbal and dry Gamay impresses with a fresh acidity and a gentle tannin. Compared to its peers, it is a little more lush. Beautiful licorice notes linger on the finish. Moulin-à-Vent is made from 100% Gamay Noir. The grapes are destemmed in the Burgundian style. The maceration lasts 25 days. The wine is then placed in 5-year-old oak barrels for 9-12 years.
