wine description

Ripe blackberry with earthy vanilla.

A rich ruby red that tends towards garnet reflections in the glass. The intense color promises depth and complexity and offers sparkling accents in the light. The viscous streaks in the glass indicate a remarkable structure and high alcohol content.

The first scent opens with an impressive complexity: tobacco, vanilla and cedar wood meet aromas of ripe blackberries and black cherries. A hint of earthy leather and light smoke underlines the profound character of this wine.

In the mouth it is powerful and structured. The silky tannins harmonize perfectly with the lively acidity. On the palate, layers of dark fruit, spicy notes of liquorice and a long, elegant finish with a hint of oak unfold.

This Brunello comes from the best Sangiovese grapes from the Tuscan hills around Montalcino. The wine matures for a long time in oak barrels, which gives it additional depth and structure. Casanova di Neri stands for the highest level of craftsmanship, which makes this wine unmistakable.

Located in the rolling hills of Montalcino, Tuscany, the Casanova di Neri winery has been a pioneer of premium Brunello since its founding in the 1970s. The Neri family is passionate about producing outstanding wines that perfectly reflect the region's terroir.
