On the nose we come across a dense assemblage of scents. A strong mirabelle plum scent is paired with coconut notes and is surrounded by rose aromas. The Riesling is also excitingly dense on the palate and impresses with plenty of melting, opulent fruit, but also youthfulness. At the same time, however, it is delicate and well structured. The acidity is taut and exciting. It seems to linger on the finish for an endless time like the sound of a large church bell. This is a really great wine from a great location, the VDP. GROSSEN LAGE Kirchberg. The year 2016 was significantly cooler than the comparable years 2019 and 2015. A wet spring with a lot of rain was very challenging and meant that the harvest was carried out late into November.
