Seven Springs Vineyard Chardonnay 2021
Seven Springs Vineyard Chardonnay
Seven Springs Vineyard Chardonnay
Creamy apple with mineral lemon.
A bright, radiant straw yellow with golden reflections fills the glass and gives this Chardonnay a luminous elegance. The clear, almost crystalline appearance indicates a fresh, mineral-based structure and complex aromas.
Aromas of ripe apple and pear combine with notes of lemon and oak. Mineral notes such as stone and honey are accompanied by subtle buttery nuances, while floral tones of honeysuckle and orange blossom underline the complexity.
Dry and elegant, with a creamy, soft texture and a lively, clear acidity that adds freshness. The taste combines yellow fruits with mineral accents and a touch of brioche that refines the long, harmonious finish.
Aging in French oak gives this Chardonnay a subtle, woody structure. The terroir of the Eola-Amity Hills with volcanic soils and cool Pacific winds promotes slow maturation, which emphasizes freshness and a distinctive minerality and makes the wine unmistakable.
Tradition meets innovation: The Gerrie family focuses on sustainable premium winemaking in the Willamette Valley, Oregon.
Cristom Vineyards, a family business in the Eola-Amity Hills of Oregon since 1992, is a prime example of a successful family winery that masters the balancing act between sustainability and performance. The Gerrie family, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, named the winery after their children Christina and Tom (ChRIS-TOM) in 1992 and is committed to producing exceptional wines. The winery primarily cultivates Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on a vineyard area of around 36 hectares. The winery's philosophy is based on a deep connection to nature and the belief that the quality of the wine is already decided in the vineyard. Cristom Vineyards is characterized by its family atmosphere, with the second generation of the Gerrie family, with Tom Gerrie as winemaker in particular, committed to maintaining the heritage and further developing innovative viticulture and cellar techniques. Their ecological focus and biodynamic farming methods contribute to the uniqueness of their wines, which are highly recognized in the wine world, especially in America but also recently in Europe. In 2023, the winery was among the top 100 wineries in the world by Wine & Spirits magazine for the eighth year in a row. The wines are served in the best restaurants in the world.
